All you need is a printer, toner, decal paper, cover coat (optional), and a kiln.

1. Ceramic Printer

The core device of the entire workflow.

MARKITON offers two specialized printers for photoceramic production:

MARKITON A4-300

A compact solution for small studios and individual workshops.

Ideal for printing memorial portraits, plaques, and souvenir products.

MARKITON A3-300

A professional printer for larger formats and serial production.

Used for interior ceramic panels, architectural tiles, and large souvenir items.

Both printers feature:

2. MARKITON Ceramic Toner

Toner is the heart of the technology.

It contains heat-resistant ceramic pigments that fuse permanently with the glaze during firing.

MARKITON produces three toner series, each designed for a specific application:

— Standard Ceramic Toner
For souvenirs, tiles, porcelain, interior ceramics.
Firing:
830–890 °C
— Professional Photoceramic Toner
For memorial portraits, outdoor plaques, and high-detail images.
Firing:
830–890 °C
— Glass Toner
For printing on glass, mirrors, architectural glass panels.
Firing:
530–630 °C

All toner series are available in CRYK and provide stable, long-lasting color that does not fade.

3. Decal Paper

Decal paper transfers the printed ceramic pigment to the glazed surface.

MARKITON offers two professional types:

EDP Series — Express Decal Paper

Universal decal paper with a built-in transfer layer.

Options:

LamDeco Series — Laminated Decal Paper

Decal paper with a factory-applied laminated film for clean, durable transfer.

4. Cover Coats (Decal Varnishes)

Cover coats are not used with EDP-N, EDP-F, EDP-G, LamDeco N, or LamDeco F.

They are required only when printing on classic decal paper without pre-applied coatings.

The cover coat (varnish) protects the printed image and forms the water-transfer film.

MARKITON produces three types:

MKV-N — Non-Fluxed Cover Coat (for ceramics and porcelain)
MKV-F — Fluxed Cover Coat (for photoceramics and memorial products)
MKV-G — Glass Fluxed Cover Coat (for transparent surfaces)

Available in:

MKS aerosol sprays
(for small studios)

They form a uniform protective layer that ensures clean transfer and safe firing.

5. Kiln (Muffle Furnace)

The final stage — firing.

High temperature fuses the toner pigments into the glaze or glass surface.

For beginners, a suitable kiln should have:

  • programmable temperature controller
  • chamber volume 15–50 liters
  • firing range 530–890 °C
  • stable heating and controlled temperature curves

A quality kiln ensures firing consistency — critical for photoceramic production.
