excellent adhesion at low firing temperatures

resistance to moisture, sunlight and temperature changes

Images printed with MARKITON GX remain bright and high-contrast for many years — ideal for interior glass, decorative elements and memorial glass portraits.

MARKITON glass flux coating

Technology and Advantages

MARKITON GX is used together with a special glass flux coating, which melts at a much lower temperature than porcelain flux.

This allows the toner to fuse into the glass surface gently, without damaging it.

Advantages of MARKITON GX

  • optimized color performance at low firing temperatures
  • no cracks, cloudiness or haze
  • reduced energy use and shorter firing cycles
  • high resistance to scratching, moisture and UV exposure

MARKITON GX is ideal for:

  • photoglass portraits
  • glass memorial plates
  • decorative panels and artistic glass
  • interior architecture and design

Printing and Firing Process

Print the image on decal paper using a ceramic laser printer with MARKITON GX toner.

Apply the special glass flux varnish over the printed image.

After drying, you get a finished glass decal ready for transfer.

Transfer the decal onto the glass item.

After drying, fire the piece in a glass kiln at 530–630 °C.

During firing, pigments fuse with the glass surface, forming a bright, glossy, durable image.

Optionally, apply a white glass backing layer (white glass paint) to enhance saturation — followed by a second firing.
