Printing Technology & Image Transfer

Printing on decal paper

Transfer application

Firing in muffle kiln

The A3-300 prints on special decal paper using MARKITON ceramic toner — resistant to UV light, moisture, and mechanical impact.

After printing, the transfer is applied to a ceramic or porcelain surface and fired in a muffle kiln at 830–890°C.

During firing, the ceramic pigment fuses with the glaze, forming a permanent image resistant to sunlight, rain, and time.

Image Transfer Methods

1. EDP Express Decal Paper Method

The simplest and most efficient method.

EDP paper already contains a special coating for easy image release.

After printing, the sheet is soaked in water, and the image slides off the backing paper.

The decal is then applied to the ceramic surface and fired in the kiln.

2. Lamination Method (LamDeco)

After printing on standard decal paper, the image is laminated with a special film and passed through a laminator.

Then, like the EDP method, the decal is soaked, transferred, and fired.

This technique provides extra strength and a glossy finish.

3. Screen-Printing Table + MKV Lacquer Method

A traditional professional method.

A layer of MKV lacquer is applied through a mesh screen onto the printed decal.

After drying, the decal is soaked, transferred, and fired.

All methods produce durable, vibrant, highly detailed images.

Firing in a Muffle Kiln

The final stage is firing at 830–890°C.

At this temperature, the ceramic pigment melts into the glaze, forming an extremely strong bond.

The result is an image that retains brightness and clarity for decades — unaffected by sun, moisture, or temperature fluctuations.
